In this video, we’re going to talk about the trace mineral strontium. Strontium is the most abundant trace mineral on Earth. The main function of strontium is to increase bone density.

Strontium is similar to calcium and is particularly helpful in building the strong outer shell of your bones. Strontium is also helpful in preventing hip fractures.

The problem with strontium is that it isn't easily absorbed by your body because it’s an elemental, inorganic mineral. Instead, consume the organic, plant-based form of strontium. Don’t take the elemental form!

In addition to plant-based strontium, try taking calcium aspartate anhydrous for bone health. You can also try consuming at least 10,000 IUs of vitamin D3 daily. You may need less if you regularly get adequate sunlight.

In order to absorb minerals, you need to have a sufficient amount of stomach acid. Consuming apple cider vinegar with each meal can help you absorb strontium. If you have heartburn, acid reflux, or GERD, you may not have enough stomach acid.
