Supination vs Pronation, Radial vs Ulnar Deviation of the Hand
Lesson on supination, pronation, radial and ulnar deviation of the hand and an easy way to remember! Learning the correct terminology of hand movements is important in a variety of healthcare professions. Knowing supination and pronation of the hand is important when discussing anatomy but also when assessing the use of supinator and pronator muscles. Knowing and distinguishing between radial and ulnar deviation is an important skill for assessing various disease states including rheumatoid arthritis.
