Diindolylmethane (DIM) | Dietary Sources, Hormone Regulation, & Potential Health Benefits (PCOS, Obesity)

Diindolylmethane (DIM) is a metabolite of the phytochemical indole-3-carbinol (I3C), which is found in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli and cauliflower. DIM has been studied and found to have some beneficial biological effects, especially on estrogen hormone levels, which may play a beneficial role in improving symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome, obesity and risk of particular cancers.
