Gastroparesis (Stomach Paralysis) | Causes and Risk Factors, Signs & Symptoms, Diagnosis and Treatment

Gastroparesis literally means “stomach paralysis” or “stomach weakness”, and involves delayed gastric emptying. There are many causes of gastroparesis (including idiopathic, diabetic gastroparesis, post-viral gastroparesis, medication-induced etc.), and there are characteristic symptoms we see with this condition. In this lesson, we discuss risk factors and causes of gastroparesis, along with clinical features, diagnostic methods and treatments for gastroparesis.
