In this video I will explain that a resistor or multiple resistors in a circuit actually consumes energy. The resistor(s) take electrical energy and convert it to heat, in other words, they consumes power. When a battery pushes electrons through a resistor, the resistance causes the resistor to heat up and dissipate heat. And the power consumed can be calculated using the equation P=I^2R and I=V/R.
