In this video I will explain how to use the Schrodinger Equation in Cartesian coordinates to describe the electron in a hydrogen atom. The Schrodinger Equation is a differential equation of the wave function used to describe the motion of the electron. Of course the Schrodinger Equation makes more sense in spherical when describing the motion of an electron in an atom.
