In this video I will explain the magnetic field of Mercury. Mercury's magnetic field strength is about 1% that of the Earth. The fact that Mercury has a magnetic field is surprising for 2 reasons: 1) the planet is to small to have a liquid core, 2) it rotates to slow. And I will explain what is a magnetic vortex.
