We will learn what is hydrostatic equilibrium. But we first need to understand what is hydrostatic pressure inside a star or what it is that keeps the star from collapsing because once the star starts collapsing then gravity will just keep collapsing the star. But that doesn’t always happen. At some point the collapse stops.
