Circles of Sustainability - is a method for understanding and assessing sustainability and for managing projects directed towards socially sustainable outcomes.
The method is mostly used for cities and urban settlements.
Circles of Social Life - An approach that guides engaged and collaborative practice in making our cities, locales and organizations more sustainable, resilient, adaptable and liveable.
The four circles
• Profile Circles - builds sustainability across all the domains of social life — ecological, economic, political and cultural
• Process Circles - offers a practical method for sensitively defining, measuring and communicating responses to the critical issues
• Engagement Circles - provides a way of bringing together different constituents in integrated partnerships
• Knowledge Circles - guides a city creatively through the processes of understanding the inevitable tensions and contradictions in any complex system
