Fundamentals of Convective Heat Transfer

Concept covered:
In this lecture, we started with Reynold’s transport equation to derive the equation for conservation of energy. For a control volume, total energy is the summation of internal energy and kinetic energy as potential energy is considered in the body force term. Volume heating as well as surface heating considered for the rate of heat transfer calculation. For rate of work done calculation both body forces and surface forces are taken into consideration. And finally, equation for conservation of energy is derived.
