Parallel Flow is a very interesting topic. It is very common in engineering and the calculations are done completely different as with series flow!

In parallel Flow you got to keep in mind two important things:

The initial flow rate = Final flow rate
The sum of all flow rates in between should be equal to either initial/final flows
The friction loss per unit mass in every branch should be equal. They are also equal to the initial/final losses
Once you got that, you gotta find relationships between volumetric flow rates, velocities, frictionlosses.

Iteration is not that common, but many times will help you to get an answer!
