Now that you know already how to calculate friction factor, is time to calculate Friction loss due to flow in pipes.

The general rule of Friciton loss is given as:

Hf = (f.f.*L/D)*(V^2)/2

Find friction factor, length of pipe, diameter of pipe and the velocity of the fluid in such pipe…

You can also relate pressure drop in a pipe with friction loss:

Hf = (Pa-Pb)/ρ
