Graphite sticks are brilliant to draw with, there is just so much you can do with them. In this easy graphite drawing tutorial about landscape drawing, I'll explain how, by using the edge of the graphite stick, you can create wonderfully imaginative marks on cartridge paper. By twisting the graphite stick on its edge really creative lines can be created. If you are learning to draw or want to expand your drawing techniques, you should get hold of some graphite, because it’s brilliant.
The tutorial starts by demonstrating the type of marks that can be made with the graphite stick. By twisting your wrist and varying the pressure you apply to the graphite stick, wonderful marks and lines can be created. The tutorial then demonstrates how to use the multitude of marks created to draw a simple landscape drawing. The drawing consists of a gnarled tree created by twist and flicking the graphite. Fence posts are also drawn using the same technique.
The easy drawing arts tutorial is aimed at beginners to drawing and those students and others wishing to improve their drawing techniques.
