Before you can draw there are four things you need and I'm going to show you what they are. If you can use these four things your drawing will be amazing. This Starting Drawing tutorial is the first in a series of art tutorials for absolute beginners to drawing. It covers 4 things that you need to know to start drawing with confidence. The video talks about getting into a positive frame of mind. It also covers paper, how to use your hand when holding a pencil and how to sharpen and use pencils creatively.
This easy drawing tutorial explains how to vary the line you draw by twisting your hand and applying different pressure. It shows you how to make the lines you draw look more creative. Hatching and cross hatching are also explained. In the next video I shall bring all these elements together to create our first drawing. Understanding the 4 things explained in the video will allow beginners to draw with confidence. The art tutorial will be useful for anyone starting to draw.
