Want to learn how to paint a landscape? This tutorial will cover how to paint a landscape using water mixable oil paints. The tutorial covers the process of painting a landscape from initial drawings to final painting. Water mixable oil paint has to be applied 'fat on thin', in other words, you must start with thin layers of paint with lots of medium followed by increasingly thicker layers of paint. The tutorial also covers the important issue of allowing paint layers to dry before applying the next layer of oil paint. The tutorial covers the basics of the process of painting with water mixable oil paints I may cover techniques etc in more detail at a later date if people enjoy this video.
The tutorial also explains how paint can be applied to create texture using sponges, card and brushes which have been cut. The tutorial also covers paint medium formulas and colour mixing.
