LCD TV, or Liquid Crystal Display Television, is a type of television display technology that uses a layer of liquid crystal cells to produce images.
Structure and Working of LCD TV:
An LCD TV consists of several layers, including a backlight, a layer of polarizing glass, a layer of liquid crystals, and a layer of color filters. The backlight provides the light source, which is then polarized by the first layer of glass. The liquid crystals are sandwiched between two layers of glass and are aligned in such a way that they can be selectively turned on or off to allow or block light. The color filters then selectively filter the light to produce the final image.
When an electrical current is applied to a specific cell, it changes the alignment of the liquid crystals, allowing light to pass through or be blocked, depending on the required color and brightness. This process is controlled by a series of transistors, which form the pixel matrix of the TV.
