I keep all my apps organized into sections for graphic design, web design, web browsers, front-end development, back-end development, blogging, communication, etc...
All this magic takes place in your Terminal. If you don't use the terminal please don't be afraid. The terminal is a really normal place to operate and you won't break your computer by doing the following. By adding the code snippet down below you will create invisible dock items that can be moved around and removed from your dock however you see fit.
Step 1: Open your terminal
You ca find this in spotlight or go into your applications/utilities/terminal
Step 2: Paste in the code
defaults write com.apple.dock persistent-apps -array-add '{"tile-type"="spacer-tile";}'
Step 3: Press Enter
Step 4: Type in or Paste
killall Dock
^ notice the space in between the words and the capital "D" in "Dock"
Step 5: Repeat as many time as you want
You only need to write "killall Dock" when you have enetered in as many spaces as you want by following steps 1, 2 and 3.
That's it, enjoy!!!
