I learned a valuable lesson the other day when speaking to a new potential client. I not only offered him value, and professionalism, and the opportunity to make some amazing stuff, But this time I did it with confidence.

Confidence is such an important skill to have as a creative. Implement into our freelance or side business can be a pretty huge game changer. I'm not perfect at this but it was interesting to hear the difference in a client excitement and willingness to work with me when I just peppered a little confidence in the mix.
What do I mean by confidence:
- A solid understanding of who you are and what you can offer
- A pride in your services and your skills
- Not comparing yourself to others
- If you don't have the skill you know somebody who does
- If you absolutely can't do the work transparency = pride in what you can do
Videos in this "Business lessons for creatives" series do not come from a place of perfection but my place of learning, growing and the growing pains associated with it.
