Let’s go over the basics in everyday English. Can you read street addresses? ▶️ Watch this #short lesson and practice with me.

Common patterns for reading house/building numbers
3-digit numbers: Read the first number as a single digit. Then read the next two as a two-digit number. (515 = five fifteen)
4-digit numbers: Read the first two numbers as a two-digit number. Then read the next two numbers as a two-digit number (4412 = forty-four twelve)
"0" in a middle position can be read as "oh" (505 = five oh five; 4402 = forty-four oh two)
4-digit numbers with "00" at the end: Read the first two numbers as a two-digit number and add "hundred." (1800 = eighteen hundred)
5-digit zip codes in the U.S. are read as individual numbers (91210 = nine one two one oh) "0" at the end can be read as "oh."
