In a moment of distraction, Jacqueline decides to shoot Simon. The following night, she kills her friend at the hands of strangers. Jacqueline and Simon fall into the web of suspicion since Linnet was murdered. The situation becomes more mysterious throughout the events of Death on the Nile, where the disappearance of expensive jewelry from Linnet's room is discovered. However, when considering that the motive for the murder was the theft of the pearls, the investigator sees that it would have been easy for the servant or any of the passengers to steal the jewelry, so why the murder? The investigator interrogates the maid named Louise Bourget, and during the questioning, she is killed.
Despite the tension on the boat, we see many romantic stories among the passengers and amorous pursuits, but the number of victims increases. A famous novelist decides to get closer to the investigator Hercule and begins to think with him about the mystery of the crime. When she gets close to discovering the killer, she is also murdered.

It turns out that Simon and Jacqueline were planning to seize Jacqueline's money from the beginning. Before both are arrested, Jacqueline decides to eliminate both Simon and herself with another gun different from the one confiscated by the police
